I can begin to tell you just how ecstatic I am with my results from the British Institute of Professional Photography Midlands regional annual print competition.
The competition took place in March at the Lea Marston hotel in Sutton Coldfield. Unfortunately, having 2 small children, I was unable to attend the evening. The very next day my good friend Carol, who attend the evening, contacted me to congratulate me on my win.
I was totally and utterly shocked!
I had decided to enter 5 prints this year, 2 in the portrait category and 3 in the under 5’s, but I really didn’t think they wouldn’t do well. You see, I had been that busy since the start of the year that I hadn’t really thought about entering until the very last minuet and pulled together what I thought were my strongest images.
Out of the five prints entered I received the following awards:
I won the trophy for the portrait section for the 2nd year in a row (You can read all about last years win here). I also received a merit of another image.
I came 2nd (1st merit) and another merit in the under 5’s section.
Here are the wining images:
Huge Congratulations Lyn!
Thank you Siobhain 🙂
