On Friday the 1st April 2016, I traveled all the way from my studio in Chesterfield, Derbyshire to Russ Jackson Photography Studio at Stephens gardens London to attend a 2 day Newborn photography workshop.

Now this was no ordinary newborn workshop.

This workshop was being conducted by the amazing Kelly Brown.

For those of you who don’t know who she is, she is  from Brisbane, Australia and is not only the QUEEN of Newborn Photography, but the best in the world.

She is my inspiration and I’ve followed her work for a very long time. When I found out she was coming to the UK, I just had to get a place on her course – it sold out in 6 minutes thats just how amazing she is.

Kelly is such a lovely person and over the last couple of years has been kind enough to spare me a little of her time to help me when I had been asked to do Engage Live.

The shoe 2 days were pack full of information, most of which confirmed to me that what I was doing was right but i still learnt loads.

As with myself and my work with BANPAS, Kelly takes safety in the newborn photography industry very seriously and told us some horrendous stories where photographers have caused harm to newborns by not following safe practice.

I had so much fun on this course I really didn’t want it to end.

If you would like to book in with myself for a newborn session please email Lyn@wingsphotography.co.uk

Here are a few photos from the day.
