If you have been following Katie’s pregnancy diary, you will know that she’s had her ups and downs, throughout the pregnancy.
The time came for Katie and her family to finally meet their new arrival and she was booked in for an induction.
Unfortunately the induction didn’t go quite according to plan.
After a short while the midwives discovered that baby’s heart rate had dropped and on further inspection, it was found that Katie had got an obstruction in her bowl. This was making it extremely difficult for baby to be born natural.
She was whisked off for an emergency c-section. At this point, i’m not quite sure what happened next but Katie was given a general, so she was asleep during the section.
She has been left a little traumatised from the whole event and finds it difficult to talk about it, hence why im writing this blog and not Katie.
I happy to announce that baby Mauve Eleanor was born safe and well on Friday 13th October, weighing 7lb 2oz.
Both mum and baby are doing well.
Mauve came in for her newborn photos a just 5 days new and was utterly perfect. She slept for the whole session and we were done in just over an hour.
Here are some photos from her session:
Did your birth go according to plan? I know both of mind didn’t.
