– Outdoor portraits Session Guide –

THank you for booking your outdoor portrait session with me.

Please take a look at the session guide to help you prepare.

As we live in England the weather can sometimes be against us. Please do not worry. If the weather is bad on your session date we can either rearrange or embrace it and jump in puddles.

What to wear

The decision of what to wear can make or break your portraits.

I cant dtress how important this is.

The first thing to think about is what the decor in your home is like and then think of colours that will compement it.

The next thing to do is coordinate.

You want to pick one or two base colours and make sure everyone is wearing something in those colours.

Avoid busy patterns , big logos & writing on your clothes.

Heres some examples, but you can also check out my pintrest board here for more ideas.

Shoes – Please think about where we will taking your photos and choose appropriate footwear.

A few tips to help you prepare

I try and make it as fun as possible for children during the session by playing, hunting for bears and searching for fairies, but some children can get a little upset, so please do bring along their favourite toy that you don’t mind if it turns up in the photos.

As we are out in the countryside, the likelihood that they will be toilets is few and far between, so please ensure everyone has been to the loo before you come for your photos.

Please try to arrive on time, if you are running late just pop me a text message or give me a call.

On arrival if I don’t see you or you don’t see me please send me a text message to

07783 155 100 to let me know you have arrived.

My car is a black 4×4 and it’s a Cupra (really strange badge lol.)

So the children do not become distracted, please only the people who are taking part in the session should come along.
