On Tuesday 6th June, I held a 2 hour first aid course at my studio for parents.
The course was conducted by Alex from Mini First aid Sheffield.
5 ladies (and baby Felix) came along to learn all about what to do in an emergency. In the 2 hours we covered:
What to do if a child is choking
CPR (even Felix got involved in this bit lol)
How to deal with bleeding, breaks, bumps and burns
What to do if your child has a febrile convulsion
Meningitis awareness.
It was a great day and the ladies went away with the knowledge that could one day save a life.
A few weeks before the course I did a 12 hour in depth First aid course run by Mini first aid, this has not only given me the knowledge to help my family and friends, it has also given me the peace of mind that I could help a child or adult that attends a session at my studio.
