This is my 11th year as a photographer and my 7th year doing  Newborn baby photography in Chesterfield Derbyshire.

In that time I have had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of babies in my studio in Wingerworth.

When someone books me to capture their newborn in beautiful photographs I am truly honoured. These tiny babies are so fragile and  parents are handing them over to me, who is a stranger. Thats trust.

When we are talking during the session I often ask people why they booked in with me. Some have found my website after having a google search, others have seen my posts on Facebook  but most have been recommended by a friend.

But one thing that they ALL say is that they booked me, not only because of my stunning photos, but because of the amount of experience I have and that i’m fully trained in Newborn posing safety.

This is an especially important factor to my clients who are midwives and Doctors.

Safety

Those of you that follow me know how much I bang on about newborn safety.  This industry is not regulated and If you are not careful you could be handing your tiny newborn over to someone who isn’t trained and could potentially put your baby at risk.

Returning clients

I love all my clients and I love to watch their families grow. Not only do I photograph the babies, I also photograph them at different stages of their development.

My clients come back to me time and time again as they know and trust me to produce beautiful images of their families. As ive been photographing them for a while the children become very relaxed around me which means we can get lovely relaxed images of them.

When the next baby is due, they don’t hesitate to book back in with me.

Photos

Babies are so tiny and perfect and I love to capture those tiny details. Eyelashes, lips feet Ears and any birthmarks that a baby may have.

I also include digital backdrops in my newborn sessions too. Here is just a small selection of them. Ive found them to be extremely popular, however you dont have to have one if you dont want.

You are in control

A lot of newborn photographers will choose the colours, props and accessories for you and you don’t get any input. I however I let you be in total control. After all, they are your photos.

You get to choose the blankets, hats & headbands that compliment your home.

Relax

The studio is designed especial to allow parents to relax while their baby is being photographed.

After all, you wont be getting much sleep, let along being able to drink a hot cup of tea or coffee. (top tip – get yourself a thermos mug, totally brilliant and keeps your drink warm for ages).

I provide fresh fruit and croissants for you to enjoy while you are at the studio. If you are breast feeding you need to keep your strength up.
